Following a sold out run at Birmingham’s Cork & Cage this winter, we’re over the moon to welcome Paesano Pasta’s excellent pop up to the Haunt kitchen for two nights only, Tuesday 2nd & Wednesday 3rd April.

Expect to bask in all the beauty of Sud Italia: bringing old school recipes from the homeland whilst sprinkling a little spice on a couple of dishes north of Roma. Focaccia from Bari and Napoletano Ragú alongside Mortadella Bologna. Salsiccia e Zafferano toe-to-toe with Tiramisù from the Sicilian family vaults and, of course, Nonna Grazia’s Pippi. It’s all here, but with the famous touch of the mezzogiorno. Buon appetito.


A pop up by friends, family and country(wo)men Concetta, Cristel, Nico and Fabio. Established in 2023, following a good 15 years of intense debate about when to salt pasta water, friends Nico and Fabio made the bold, heady and ill-advised decision to start a pop up kitchen.

They thought about a lot of things in the process: menu choices, steamy conversations on the best Pino Daniele album, how upset (angry) their Nonnas would be if they used butter in anything. What they failed to anticipate: the value that two women could bring to the project. Dopotutto siamo Italiani, no?

Naturally, the operation has slickened up a good deal since some sense has entered the equation. We can’t wait. A dopo ragazzi x
